‘Xenocentrism’ is the love and adoption of other cultures instead of one’s own.

‘Colonised mentality’ is the internalized attitude of ethnic or cultural inferiority felt by people as a result of colonization, resulting in the belief that the cultural values of the coloniser are inherently superior to one’s own.

Many people often fall into the trap of believing ideas such as environmentalism, elections, gender equality and human rights are western inventions due to their “progressive culture”, civic consciousness and “evolved” thinking.

Such ideas mentioned above have been practiced in different ways since time immemorial by peoples within the nusantara itself such as the Dayak, Perpatih, Bugis and others respectively. Eastern cultures wrote philosophy, south Asians championed astronomy and middle Eastern scientists pioneered healthcare long before these ideas were softly learnt and hijacked by the west, before the west brutally subjugated and wiped them “clean”.

Today, the west’s clear inability to cope with the international humanitarian crisis by pitting one of their few inventions – Capitalism, against a disease which knows not a master, and yields not to bribes and sanctions has cemented the West as the failure they have always been.

While countries like Cuba, Vietnam, China and New Zealand have coped well with the crisis, protected human life, given out Free aid where necessary, reached out to help other countries, and have all resumed their economy in the shortest time possible; we can clearly see the “powers” of the world and the elite victors of WW2 and the cold war are quickly becoming failed states.

Our former colonial masters have squandered all their resources on Brexit (or saving the life of their PM) and been rewarded with the Silver medal in total number of COVID-19 deaths; losing only to their lovechild, America. The only country on UN’s Security Council that isn’t still drowning in new infections and fatality is… Well, take a guess.

All that’s left in their fold, is to use the media to blame the East, and to try and export or ‘outsource’ the problem as soon as they can.
All this whilst America is still trying to enforce sanctions (on countries like Iran) and invade others (like Venezuela).

This short video (clear propaganda by China) sadly depicts very accurately the interaction and war of words America has tried to wage while the rest of the world have been preserving life.

It could be taken in jest; but the country of the “world currency” that sits on the UN Security Council (or rather it’s democratically elected leader) has actually said the following:

Why do people queue for hours outside the American and British embassies in hopes of sending our youth there?

Why is the bank of the Klang River near Masjid Jamek shamelessly named “Laluan Kolonial”?

Why did Trump call Muhyiddin? Please don’t tell me we wanna “help” them the same way we are helping Lynas…
